User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 11; Mobile; rv:125.0) Gecko/125.0 Firefox/125.0
Steps to reproduce:
With newly installed profile, it happens in all versions. With the setting: Delete browsing data on quit enabled, I open a few tabs, exit and the data is deleted, but it does not exit the application and only re-enters the application after I exit, only the data is deleted, but it returns to the application automatic.
Actual results:
The setting is not working correctly. When I press the exit button, it goes back to the app, just clears the browsing data.
Expected results:
Exit the app the first time and delete the data.

I'm unable to reproduce this on the latest nightly. Adding the qe-verify flag.

(In reply to Rahul Sainani [:rsainani] from comment #3)
I'm unable to reproduce this on the latest nightly. Adding the qe-verify flag.
It has to be repeated many times, in several scenarios to be able to reproduce.

I'm also unable to reproduce this issue, on the latest builds (Nightly 126.0a1 from 2024-04-05, Beta 125.0b8, RC 124.2.0)
Each time the app was closed with the browsing data deleted.
We've also had 1888962 that looks related that we couldn't reproduce either.
Did you have all the boxes checked when setting up "Delete browsing data on quit"?
What device are you using?
Can you try this on the latest Nightly as well?
Could you try reproducing the above mentioned issue as well? Since they seem related, maybe you have some detail that might help us.
Thanks.
Device I used: Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (Android 14).

They are checked when they can reproduce this error. I tested on a Moto G82, Moto E7 Plus and a Samsung galaxy A20E. I have tested on the latest version of Nightly, from the play store, and I can still reproduce this error. It happens rarely that I can reproduce, I have to press "Exit" very many times, to trigger, but sometimes I can also trigger when I install Nightly, with new profile, on the first installation. Regarding the other error, which seems to be related to this one I haven't been able to reproduce yet.

I left only 2 tabs open and hit "Exit" a few times and left the application like that in the background and then I went through other applications and after some time, after about 1 hour, I went back into Firefox and hit "Exit " again without changing anything, keeping the same tab open and so I was able to reproduce again. This may help.

Thanks for the details.
I still couldn't reproduce it on my devices, even when repeating the action to increase the chances of reproducing it.
The video should help.

The error happens randomly, there are no animated steps to reproduce.
