I run the installer, and see a crash in Kernel32.dll. Downloaded the file twice; once with a recent Phoenix, once with IE. The icon looks badly damaged, and I am assuming the file is corrupt.
CORRECTION: Crash is in KRNL386.exe Caveat: I have no confirmation that this is _not_ a local issue. Sheriff has been informed, build engineer CC'ed. I will continue to pull builds to see if the problem is reproducable/goes away.
jimmy, can you or someone on your team check this out?

Over to Paul who manages Installer. Ccing Grace since she would be my choice to follow up. Thanks, Cathleen.
I have the crash too (WinNT).

Please note here whether this is still an issue with today's (1/14/03) builds...thanks.
I see a problem with 1/13 build (sea file for Windows) - app freezes on my XP machine and crashes when I end process in task manager. I do not see a problem with the stub installer- same build. I used the sea installer for 1/14 on both XP and Windows 2000 and both launch and run- have not run extensive tests- but the problem build on 1/13 froze on launch so todays build seems ok
Grace - My behavior for the 01/14 build is the same -- no freeze. I guess this was some temporary corruption... may the gods be praised =) I am going to mark this WFM. Grace, if you want to verify, that would be cool. Anyone else who has experienced the problem, feel free to mark this verified WFM if you don't see it on today's sea installer. Thanks to you all for the fast responses.
