Users forced to interact with Windows Settings are less likely to successfully set Firefox as default. We should provide visual guidance to inform the user that there is a necessary follow up step when a user indicates they would like Firefox to be set as default.

Just to double-check: are we tracking adding content at the SuMo pages that we're pointing users to? (the https://support.mozilla.org/1/firefox/%VERSION%/%OS%/%LOCALE%/win-set-firefox-default-browser
URLs referenced in the commit here)
Right now at least: when I see this dialog in Nightly 127 or Beta 126 and click "Show me" on the dialog, it opens a tab with this URL:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/win-set-firefox-default-browser?as=u&utm_source=inproduct
...which just says "Placeholder 1890434"
It looks like the number on that placeholder is referring to bug 1890434 which was filed to generate that placeholder page, I guess. Just want to double-check that the SuMo page-population is tracked somewhere, since it looks like this will be hitting release as part of v126 in just over 2 weeks.

I messaged Venetia (PM) to verify the relevant SuMo article is owned/making progress. Leaving the NI as a reminder to follow up on this.

Page is live here. I've poked in Bug 1890434 to ensure the plan is for the prior link to redirect to this URL.

(In reply to Nick Rishel [:nrishel] from comment #8)
Page is live here.
(That seems to be a preexisting SuMo article, without substantial modifications for a while though; maybe that's fine/intentional since the instructions are presumably still valid? Anyway: I added a followup note on bug 1890434 to mention this, in case the intent was to have some sort of new article associated with this new popup.)
