Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:124.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/124.0
Steps to reproduce:
Double left click on < or > to scroll across tabs at top of window on my Win10 laptop goes too far and causes tab display to go beyond limit of previous display.
Actual results:
Some tabs are not seen when trying to locate a particular tab from the dozens that may be available.
If 10 tabs are displayed initially then double click to move right will result in 12-21 being shown with No 11 being missed.
This has occurred for a long time, like 1 year plus.
Expected results:
New display of tabs should be contiguous to previous display and should not omit intervening tabs. Above example should have new display showing tabs 11-20.

- Could you please attach a screen recording of the issue, or detail the steps to reproduce?
- Does this issue happen with a new profile? Here is a link on how to create one: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles
- Does this issue happen with latest nightly? Here is a link from where you can download it: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/desktop/
- Does this issue happen when Firefox is in Troubleshoot Mode? Here’s a link on how to enable it: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-troubleshoot-mode

Marking as RESOLVED INCOMPLETE. Please re-open this if the issue is still reproducible on your end after following the steps from Comment 2, thank you.
Sorry for not replying to earlier requests but I have only just received notification that there were any! I am unfamiliar with this bug reporting system (1st bug reported) but as an ex-software developer I understand how you may need further information to reproduce any error.
I thought that I had given sufficient information initially to reproduce the error situation and am not sure what else I can supply, unless you can be more specific about possible differences between your setup and mine. I always use the latest available level of the browser, currently 126.0 (64-bit), and the error still occurs as described previously. It is possible for me to manage this situation by using a reverse single click after each double click but that is a bit of a pain.
Extra information - The problem also exists when running in Troubleshoot mode. I do not have any add-ons installed.
This bug report has not been reopened automatically when extra comments were appended so how do I force it to be reopened manually?

If 5 tabs are displayed (out of many), such as A B C D E and a single left click is made on the > symbol then one would expect the tabs displayed to change to B C D E F and that is what I see. However, a double click results in G H I J K being displayed instead of F G H I J. Tab F is bypassed from the display. It seems as if there is a miscalculation of how many tabs should be shifted for a double click.
