User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:122.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/122.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start Firefox
  2. Open web version of Telegram (https://web.telegram.org/) in the left tab
  3. Use Firefox for quite some time
  4. Open other websites
  5. Use other websites (Telegram tab doesn't need to be opened)

Actual results:

When I open a website with a semitransparent background (in another tab) or I use another software with a semitransparent background (for example, GNOME Image Viewer) I can see my private Telegram messages in the background. Also, private Telegram messages are visible when switching windows in GNOME.

In screenshots taken via print screen, you CANNOT see the messages. But they are present on the monitor.

As a note, there is no need to open Telegram tab in the Firefox in the foreground. It just needs to be opened (see the screenshots).

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

I'm not sure I understand what do you mean. Can you take picture of it by phone for instance?
Thanks.

Pictures are attaches. What you can see is the text from Telegram website. It's not always visible, sometimes you need to wait to reproduce the bug.

I guess you need to report it to gnome-shell project - https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues
Doesn't look like something Firefox can control.

Actually, this looks like the screen issue after an extensive testing. Closed.
