Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.4.1) Gecko/20020314 Netscape6/6.2.2 (CK-BOL)
Build Identifier: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.3a/mozilla-win32-1.3a-installer.exe
The old Mozilla I had was opening window with only a one-inch title bar and no
contents when the auto-start thing started mozilla when I turned on the
computer. Then if I tried to run Mozilla again it would say that it was in use
or something so I created a new profile and it let me start with that profile
and do everything as usual. I installed the latest mozilla over the old one and
now when I start it says "Error -- The program must close to allow a previous
installation attempt to complete. Please restart." and doesn't start.
Restarting doesn't help.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Mozilla.
Actual Results:
"Error -- The program must close to allow a previous installation attempt to
complete. Please restart." and doesn't start. Restarting doesn't help.
Expected Results:
Start.
I am on a Windows network and Mozilla is running from a Z: network drive.

Proposing closing bug as invalid -> overwriting a previous installation. See
release notes of every Mozilla since a while.
Besides this, and making a clean install (of course), cleaning a little user
profile (see again release notes to find it) by deleting cache and chrome
directory, renaming or deleting xul.mfl file should help.

Agree with -> INVALID. Installing on top of a previous install is not supported
and YMMV.
