User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 By default I have a blank home page (i.e., under Preferences -> Navigator -> Home Page I leave the textbox empty). When I start the browser the focus seems to be on the blank page (I presume this is because of type ahead find) however as no page is loaded the focus should be on the address bar. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Clear home page 2. Restart browser Actual Results: The focus is not on the address bar. Expected Results: Put the focus on the address bar.
WFM, current trunk CVS, Linux. (Preferences set up to display a "blank page" on startup.)
Can reproduce if i set a homepage, reload mozilla, and then delete the homepage URL only. (And restart again) Focus is then on the now empty page. Reducing severity.
Severity: normal → trivial
OS: Windows XP → All
Can we have the severity set to minor/normal? As someone who stops/starts their browser regularly this irks me =)
Just set the pref to load a blank page (instead of an "empty url"), and it should works like you want it to.
I presume you mean type "about:blank" as the URL -- there is no radio option to specify a blank page so this is effectively undocumented behaviour.
Ah - it is there after all! Sorry, don't know how I missed it!
