User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021212 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021212 After logging into secure domain (https) with username and password Location Bar goes blank. Entering new URL into location bar is ignored. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
If you couldn't reproduce it, there is no bug, is there? I would say this is either invalid or worksforme.
I have replicated the problem to a certain extent. My browser is pointing to http://www.accentor.biz/index.php I have an email that has the following URL in it http://www.suse.co.uk/uk/business/products/suse_business/openexchange/demo.html I click on the URL and the URL showing remains http://www.accentor.biz/index.php I click on enter online demo, the URL displayed remains unchanged I log in and the URL displayed remains unchanged I change the URL displayed to http://www.mozilla.org and hit return, nothing happens I click home, the browser goes to http://www.mozilla.org I enter http://www.suse.com and the browser does not move I go to another open browser window and the change the URL and it works. The orginal browser window still fails to accept new URLs.
I see this regularly on two separate Windows 2000 machines. I thought Multizilla was repsonsible, but fresh installs of nightly builds after uninstalling Multizilla still have this problem. Most often, the tab still works fine as a browser, but the location bar no longer gets updated and favicons start showing up for pages they do not belong to (even showing up in bookmarks for the duration of the browser session).
Tom and Richard, are you still experiencing this bug in a recent build of Mozilla? I haven't been able to reproduce it in the 20030918 Firebird nightly. Thank you for any new information on this problem.
Closing WFM, since no one has reported seeing this in a post-1.3 version. If this bug is still occurring in recent Mozilla builds, please feel free to reopen it.
