Details

Used 11-12-18-M11 build on Linux only:

After select the inbox and tried to create the subfolder to verify the error
message "invalid inbox name" displayed on the IMAP log file.

The IMAP log file just keep displaying the strange message, I don't even to
attach the log file in this bug.

The log file (just copy/paste some final lines since I cannot attach that file
here:

The IMAP log file displayed abnormal size even I just run verfy simple scenario.
Based on the same Test scenario,I compare the size from WinNT is: 5,834 bytes...
But Linux is: 3,317,640 bytes big and abnormal IMAP log file.

Maybe we're not truncating the file with each program run? Karen, can
you try deleting the log by hand, rerunning, and see what you get?

For today's build 11-17-09-M12 on Linux:

It seemed if I didn't remove the previous log file. It will keep the previous
log file - didn't reflect the latest log file...
(The symptom is different as previous M11 build now...)
I need to change the summary to reflect today's build....

And, Yes, after I deleted the log by hand, rerunning, and I will see the latest
IMAP log file. Updated the summary for reflecting latest Linux build.

Using build 3/14/01 commercial builds on linux and winme I ran Karen's scenario
as stated and found the imap log to be of a comparable size to the winme imap
log. Also, the log did not contain all the strange characters as seen in pasting
to this bug.  One note: we don't allow users to make a subdirectory of the Inbox
(it's greyed out) so in following this scenario, I was only able to select the
inbox, bring up the New Folder dialog and leave it at the server level. 
Actually this scenario as stated in invalid, but I decided to check anyway in
case the scenario meant for the user to try to create a subfolder.  Verified as
worksforme
