User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 I am running on Win2K and I have a host file with host entries. IE picks up the host entries in this host file, but Mozilla is not picking it up. Is there any extra setting required for Mozilla to pick up host entries in windows host file?? Thanks Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
I believe the filename should be hosts on Windows too, not host. Is that the error? ->networking

The file name is "hosts" I put it as a blocker b/c I am not able to test my web app in Mozilla as Mozilla is not picking up the entries in the hosts file.
I believe Mozilla needs to be restarted to pick up changes in the hosts file. Have you taken this into consideration? Also, if you're using the Quicklaunch/turbo mode of mozilla, that may also have an effect on things...
I have restarted the Mozilla, but in vain. I am not using Quicklaunch/turbo mode.
It works on Windows98.
please post the file, or the line you have added here.
Summary: Mozilla not picking up the host file → DNS: not picking up the host file
No response, old version. And for all others this works.
