I can confirm this behavior on the latest builds.
After changing regional temperature to Fahrenheit or Celsius (other than the default) preference, the pocket section is no longer displayed.
Changing the regional temperature back to default restores pocket articles.
Device used for testing: Google Pixel 9 Pro XL (Android 14).
I couldn't reproduce this issue on a Samsung device with Android 14. On a Oneplus, a Xiaomi and a Vivo devices I didn't have the setting.
Tested builds:
- latest Nightly (134.0a1 from 2024-11-12);
- latest Beta 133.0b7;
- latest RC 132.0.2;
Marking the ticket as confirmed.

Pocket has shut down.

Can this be closed as “WONTFIX”?

Pocket has shut down.
The stories feature still exist in Firefox and there are obviously no plans to remove it. On the contrary, another screen was recently added to display even more stories.
Can this be closed as “WONTFIX”?
Have you checked whether the problem no longer exists?

I never claimed otherwise.
So “Pocket stories” does not refer to stories from the discontinued “Pocket” service?
It might be a good idea to change the ticket title to avoid any misunderstandings.

No!

I never claimed otherwise.
That's how it reads, because you suggested a WONTFIX based solely on the fact that "Pocket" has been discontinued. It's still the same feature in Firefox (even though the design has changed in the meantime). The shutdown of Pocket should not relevant for this issue at all.
