Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:126.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/126.0
Steps to reproduce:
Use any website that uses the built-in microphone
Actual results:
Built-in microphone on macOS (Macbook Pro M3 Pro) is extremely quiet only in Firefox (both Stable and Dev Edition). Also Firefox does not show the macOS Microphone Mode selector in the menu bar (where I can choose voice isolation, etc.)

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Cocoa' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
Hi!
I'm also encountering this bug (along with two more of my co-workers). All of us are on M3 MacBook Pro.
There's a suggestion to disable media.getusermedia.microphone.prefer_voice_stream_with_processing.enabled
on Reddit, which appears to have helped some people. For me, it improved the sound some but co-workers still struggle to hear me.
I've attempted turning my microphone gain to 100% in the system settings but it makes no difference.
I have a M1 MacBook Pro running Firefox — no problems there.
The micrphone volume. seems particularly bad when using Google Meet.
