The Windows APIs used for pinning Firefox to the taskbar are changing in Windows 11, probably in 24H2. While the ability to pin the current app to the taskbar has already been implemented in bug 1879975 this ticket tracks adding the ability to pin other things. We can add arbitrary arguments and icons so this is how pinning private browsing would be achieved.
