User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:125.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/125.0
Steps to reproduce:
Specify Inter Medium in fontconfig as a default sans-serif font.
Like: https://github.com/Kimiblock/moeOS.config/blob/master/etc/fonts/conf.d/99-moeos.conf
Specify sans-serif as Firefox's Sans-Serif font.
Actual results:
Observe Inter Regular, not Inter Medium in the Firefox Interface.
Expected results:
Interface using Inter Medium

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Layout: Text and Fonts' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

What exact Inter Medium font do you have installed? Are you using a variable-font version of Inter, or a collection of individual fonts with different weights?

Thanks for replying.
The Inter package from Arch Linux comes with a single ttc file and 2 variable font files. I’m currently using Inter Medium in fontconfig. Not sure if it is the variable version of Inter.
