Description

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021212
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021212

With all pages that I visit and with all messages I post, the backslash key
appears as the letter Y with two bars. This only occures within the web page
and the key works correctly in the address bar.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.goto message board
2.type message into board
3.use the backslash key in the message
4.Or, goto page with the backslash key on the page

Actual Results:
The charecter 'Y' with 2 bars appeared

Expected Results:
created the backslash key

The "Y with 2 bars" is the yen sign. It sounds like your browser has somehow
been set to a Japanese character set (Character Coding under the View menu), or
the web pages you're viewing are specifying Japanese charset.
