Steps to reproduce:
Bookmark keywords let users easily export and import long lists of custom search engines. If you export them as an HTML file, you can even import them into Microsoft Edge.
Since bookmark keywords are going to be deprecated, please consider making it possible to export and import lists of search engines too.
Thank you for the enhancement suggestion. Setting as NEW so the developing team can have a look.

As far as we know, there's no general import/export format which other browsers could use. This would seem to negate the usefulness of a dedicated import/export function.
We are currently working on a profile backup system (bug 1883052) which will allow profiles to be regularly backed up and restored.
We are also hoping to implement Firefox Sync support for search engines at some stage as well (bug 444284).
Given all that, we don't think we would implement this, nor accept patches for it. There would need to be a much stronger use case.
Mark, while Sync and profile backups are appreciated, they aren't a solution for sharing lists of keywords with other users.

Whilst we appreciate that sharing is a possible use case, it is unlikely to be used enough to be worth making it available. We'll obviously keep an eye on the feedback once we finish the work.
There are also projects like https://mycroftproject.com/ where search engines can already be shared between users. Whilst they can't include the keyword, it would not be difficult for users to decide on their own keywords should they want to set them up.
