User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 13; Mobile; rv:125.0) Gecko/125.0 Firefox/125.0
Steps to reproduce:
Added Twitter as a PWA and opened the PWA
Actual results:
The address bar seems to hiding the Twitter toolbar behind it.
Expected results:
Twitter toolbar (for their search button, etc.) should appear above the address bar in the PWA as it does when the site is opened in the browser proper.

@Kyle. Thank you for reporting this issue!
Does the toolbar show up after scrolling through the page?

Well, at least in the case of Twitter — no. But Twitter is also infinite-scrolling.

Unfortunately I was unable to reproduce your issue on Firefox Nightly 129 (2024-07-04), Firefox 128 Beta 9 and Firefox 127.0.2 using a Google Pixel 8 with Android 14 and Samsung A32 with Android 13. in my case the App is not opened in a custom tab and the twitter bar is successfully displayed. Please see the attached video.
Could you please check on you side if your issue still reproduces on one of the above mentioned versions? If yes, please mention the following:
- Device model
- Android Version
- if there are any other specific sites using with which you manage to reproduce the issue.
Thanks!

My Info:
Sony Xperia 5 III
Android 13
It sounds like it may be an issue with Custom Tabs rather than specifically PWAs, then perhaps. Up until recently, Twitter added to Homescreen as a PWA would always open as a custom tab. Now I see if go to Twitter in browser and create a new Home icon for it, that one does not open as a custom tab and the problem does not occur. The old Home icon for Twitter I have from years ago does still always open in a custom tab (I thought that all PWAs opened like that for Firefox).
PWAs, at least for some sites, still do make icons that open as custom tabs. Facebook is one I tested today, adding the PWA and seeing it open as a custom tab, and it also exhibits the described behavior of hiding content. In the case of Facebook, comment content on a post may be hidden behind the address bar if they run the whole screen.

I added to Homescreen several pages from top 50 most popular websites (https://www.similarweb.com/top-websites/) and also opened them in a custom tab with Firefox Nightly 130 (2024-07-10), Firefox Beta 129 Beta 1 and Firefox 128 using a Samsung A32 with Android 13 and noticed the following:
a) PWA: only Facebook was opened as a Custom tab when adding the page to Homescreen but the address bar hides when scrolling down the page on Nightly and Beta and remains displayed on Release (this behavior will go live with 129 Train)
b) Custom tab: the address bar hides when scrolling down on all 3 Firefox versions
Excepting the Facebook comment issue that reproduces only on Firefox 128 and which will be fixed along with the 129 Train release I didn't encounter any other issues.
Based on this testing I will mark this issue as Works for me, but feel free to reopen it or file a new one in case you encounter similar issues on other sites.
Thanks!
