Steps to reproduce:

I store my passwords in Firefox. For Firefox mobile, navigating to and from the password screen is unnecessarily difficult.
On desktop and old firefox mobile (firefox for android 68.9), the process for opening the password manager is:

  1. open a new tab
  2. Open about:logins

And the steps for getting back to where you were is:

  1. Close about:logins tab

Actual results:

On Firefox Android, the process is

  1. Open 3-dot menu
  2. Scroll down to Settings
  3. Open settings
  4. Open "Passwords"
  5. Open "Saved Passwords"

And to get back to where you were, the process is:

  1. press "back"
  2. press "back" again
  3. Press "back" again

Expected results:

Firefox Android should have a way to quickly enter and exit the password manager.
Ideally this would be a tabbed interface like about:logins to match desktop.

If that is not doable, for opening the password manager, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1893597 and related bugs streamline this somewhat. Hopefully the Passwords menu item goes directly to the password manager and not to the password settings.

For closing the password manager, some way to immediately exit out of the password menu back to webpages would be nice. Maybe a "copy password and exit password manager" menu item on passwords in the manager.

Michael, you have the "PAsswords" option in the three-dot menu right under the "Downloads" option, and above the "Extensions".
Also, long-tap on the Firefox for Android icon from the device's homescreen, and the "Passwords" option is available and it takes you to the "Password" page.

Long-pressing the Firefox App Icon and selecting "passwords" brings up the settings page related to passwords while the password short-cut in the 3-dot-menu meanwhile directly goes to the passwords list.

As I don't see a reason why someone would like to open the settings page via the launcher, it would be nice if that shortcut could be changed to be consistent and more streamlined.

Thanks for consideration!
