Details

You used to be able to click on a folder with new mail in the folder list and then type "n" on the keyboard to view the first message marked as being new. Now the "n" character is inserted into the quick search box ("Subject or Sender contains") instead and you have to click on the message list before using "n" (next unread message).
(that's for build ID 2003011818, trunk)
The folder name becoming "light blue" instead of "dark blue" due to the focus change after clicking on it only happens when something other than "view all messages" is chosen. If the View is changed from "All" to "Unread" then the focus problem happens. If the view is "All" then it works properly-- the folder retains focus after clicking on it and "n" goes to the next unread message.

Greg Onufer, are you still seeing this bug? I believe the duplicate was incorrect. I do not see the focus jump after a mouse click, only after navigating the folder tree with the arrow keys.
