User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:126.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/126.0
Steps to reproduce:
This was reported to Webcompat-bot with response "We appreciate your report but the issue reproduces on other browsers as well, therefore it is not a compatibility issue." This link functions on other computers in FF and on my computer using Edge. So my question is if a setting in either FF or Win 10 could have been unintentionally changed to create the problem on my computer. Description and background as followe:
My wife & I use Nextdoor.com to buy and sell used merchandise under the For Sale & free section. A screenshot is attached to understand the issue: For Sale & Free sub-menus properly displayed by clicking on left main menu For Sale & Free. Nectdorr.com For Sale and Free main menu can be accessed at https://nextdoor.com/for_sale_and_free/?init_source=more_menu
Beginning 5/3, the For Sale & free link on the left in FF no longer connects to display the sub-menus. A circling arrow appears under the For Sale & Free heading at the top of the page where the sub-menus should appear, but lasts for only 1-2 seconds and disappears before any loading occurs.
We have 2 Windows 10 desktops on a home WIFI network. #1 is the base computer connected to the internet and #2 is remotely connected by WIFI. My wife and I both have separate FF & TB accounts that are accessible on both machines.
Currently in FF, the link on #2 functions and displays the menus correctly but #1 does not. Using Edge, the link functions and sub-menus display properly on both #1 and #2. Using Chrome, the link does not function on either #1 or #2.
On #1 where the issue occurs, I've done the following without any effect: Cleared cache, Cleared startup cache, Deleted Preferences in the profile, and Refreshed FF.
Actual results:
Clicking on For Sale & Free in the left menu does not open and display the For Sale & Free sub-menus shown in Screenshot 2 (attached). The sub-menus do display in FF on Computer #2, and on both #1 and #2 using Chrome.
Expected results:
Sub-menus shown at the top of Screenshot 2 (attached) should have displayed but they do not.
My user string for computer #1 is:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:126.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/126.0
If there's a setting that may have been unintentionally changed in Windows 10, that may explain why Nextdoor functions properly on #2 but not on #1. Otherwise I assume there is an incorrect setting in FF on #1.
Since only one file can be attached below, Screenshot #2 is attached showing the sub-menus properly displayed in Edge. The sub-menus should be accessed by going to https://nextdoor.com/for_sale_and_free/?init_source=more_menu and clicking on For Sale & Free on the left.
This is Screenshot v#1 that could not be attached to the original posting. Nextddor.com main menu on left conataining For Sale & Free Link to access For Sale & Free Sub-Menus.

Hello! Thank you for submitting this issue I have tried to reproduce the issue on my end but unfortunately I wasn't able to with firefox 128.0a1(2024-06-04) on Ubuntu 22.04 and Windows 10.
Could you please answer the following questions in order to further investigate this issue?
- Does this issue happen with a new profile? Here is a link on how to create one: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles
- Does this issue happen in the latest nightly? Here is a link from where you can download it: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/desktop/
- Do you have any addons installed? If yes could you please list them?
Negritas: Thanks for responding. Yesterday 6/3 this issue was resolved by Nextdoor, issuing s new update that corrected errors made in their prior update. The website now functions properly on FF on both computers as well as in Edge & Chrome. So we can consider this issue resolved.
