Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021212 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021212 After logging onto win 98 (or also "escapeing" out of the logon) I hit the mozilla shortcut (either browser or mail or both), which I have located in my taskbar, before all the other progs on my machine that autostartup are finished loading. These include kazaa, icq and seti. This brings up a very small window bar (just the bar with the "minimize", "maximize" and "close" buttons) and mozilla starts spawning multiple instances of itself. The window buttons appear in the taskbar and become more and more until finally the systems resources are completely bogged down. I run a 700Mhz Athlon with 512 MB RAM. It is possible to ctrl+alt+delete into the task manager if done so early enough and kill the mozilla process which closes ALL Mozilla windows and then let's you resume normally including mozilla if it is restarted. I did not have this problem with releases prior to 1.2 but as of that release (i just installed over 1.1) this has constantly been the case. It's not a horrible bug as it's easily circumvented but I figured you'd want to know anyway:) Keep up the great work guys! You rock! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.boot system 2.log on 3.click mozilla shortcut before other programs have completely started Actual Results: mozilla spawned itself until it ran out of resources or was killed via taskmanager. Expected Results: It should have just opened the browser window
I'm having the same problem in a Win98 Toshiba laptop
Problem seems to be fixed in Mozilla 1.3
Timothy, can you confirm this is problem is solved with Mozilla 1.3?
The problem seems to be solved in 1.3:) Good job team!
