Found in
- Latest Nightly 128.0a1
Affected versions
- Nightly 128.0a1
Tested platforms
- Affected platforms: MacOS 13, Windows 11 and Ubuntu 22.04
- Unaffected platforms: none
Preconditions
browser.tabs.cardPreview.enabled
-true
Steps to reproduce
- Visit this page: https://www.discovermagazine.com/the-sciences/the-color-blue-is-actually-a-relatively-recent-hue-to-humans?utm_source=pocket-newtab-en-us
- Visit a few more pages
- Hover over the tab which has the website from above
Expected result
- Tab preview is nicely displayed.
Actual result
- I think that there is a bit of an excess of info displayed in the tab previews when a website has multiple PIDs
Regression range
- This happens after bug 1889369 was fixed.
Additional notes
- Even though displaying the PID is behind a pref and disabled in Beta/Release (
browser.tabs.tooltipsShowPidAndActiveness
-true
) I think that maybe we can do something to display the PIDs in a different way so we don't overload the preview.

By default, the PIDs are only shown in Nightly builds. We wouldn't want to only show a subset of a tab's PIDs, so WONTFIX.
