Found in

  • Latest Nightly 128.0a1

Affected versions

  • Nightly 128.0a1

Tested platforms

  • Affected platforms: MacOS 13, Windows 11 and Ubuntu 22.04
  • Unaffected platforms: none

Preconditions

  • browser.tabs.cardPreview.enabled - true

Steps to reproduce

  1. Visit this page: https://www.discovermagazine.com/the-sciences/the-color-blue-is-actually-a-relatively-recent-hue-to-humans?utm_source=pocket-newtab-en-us
  2. Visit a few more pages
  3. Hover over the tab which has the website from above

Expected result

  • Tab preview is nicely displayed.

Actual result

  • I think that there is a bit of an excess of info displayed in the tab previews when a website has multiple PIDs

Regression range

Additional notes

  • Even though displaying the PID is behind a pref and disabled in Beta/Release (browser.tabs.tooltipsShowPidAndActiveness - true) I think that maybe we can do something to display the PIDs in a different way so we don't overload the preview.
Priority: -- → P2

By default, the PIDs are only shown in Nightly builds. We wouldn't want to only show a subset of a tab's PIDs, so WONTFIX.
