Steps to reproduce:
Steps to reproduce:
- open bookmarks library
- add a website including several "/"-characters like "https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/buy/compare-all-microsoft-365-products" to bookmarks
- write the word "microsoft" into URL bar, do not press enter
Actual results:
"microsoft.com" appears in the searchbar and is marked and "https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/buy/compare-all-microsoft-365-products" appears as suggestion below the searchbar
Expected results:
The ".com" behind the term should not automatically appear, instead, only
"https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/buy/compare-all-microsoft-365-products" should appear below the searchbar as the only suggestion...

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Address Bar' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
Over 1 year nothing has been done to fix this (see "see also" bug), I realized I accidentally filed it as "enhancement" instead of "defect" back then, aaaargh....

I reviewed Bug 1826407 and found that it was intentionally marked as an enhancement by engineering. Although the timeline for finalizing the adaptive autofill feature is not clear, there is no need to log the same issue under a different type. Therefore, I will mark this as a duplicate.
