Steps to reproduce:

On X (twitter) I selected some text and clicked on the search icon that appear (along with copy), it gave me some apps to use for my search (eg- Google, Vivaldi, firefox beta). I clicked Firefox beta.
Provided, firefox must be closed (stopped not running in background) and you must select a lot of text to search. My Firefox version is Firefox beta for android 127.0b8 (Build #2016023703)

Actual results:

Invalid Address

The provided address is not in a recognised format. Please check the location bar for mistakes and try again.

Expected results:

It should've opened Google to search.

rudranilghosh, thanks for reporting this problem. What Android device model and OS version are you using? When I select text in the Twitter app, the context menu on my device doesn't show the magnifying glass icon seen in your screen recording. I'm testing a Samsung Galaxy A32 with Android 13 and a Moto G5 with Android 8.1. Maybe you are using a different OS?

I was able to reproduce this issue, with Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T (Android 11). The Invalid Address page is displayed the first time the selected text is searched using Fenix, regardless if Fenix was closed or running in background. The next search will display the search results page properly.

• This was not reproducible when searching the text with Google/Chrome
• Not reproducible with a high end Xiaomi device, Xiaomi 12 Pro (Android 13)
• The magnifying glass icon was also available on Poco F5 Pro (Android 13), however, when tapped, the selected term was searched with Google by default, without offering additional apps to search with (although Fenix Nightly was set as default browser)
  I'll confirm this issue since it is reproducible with the latest Firefox for Android releases.
