User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:126.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/126.0
Steps to reproduce:
Use Firefox 126 on linux. I'm using rpm version from Opensuse Tumbleweed repo.
- I'm starting any video stream. It can be youtube or plex from my own server.
- Pause the video stream and go on with your life for an hour. No specific time and I was not able to narrow it to specific action. FF is not closed in the meantime.
- When you get back and click on the tab you will notice the progress bar is back to 0:00 without reloading the page. It messes with the youtube progress cookie as well so reloading the page now shows progress at 0:00.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Audio/Video: Playback' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:129.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/129.0
I can confirm I have it on at least both YouTube and Twitch, and sometimes the reset is instantaneous as soon as I pause, sometimes just waiting does it. It happens with or without PiP. I don't see any meaningful trace in the console of those tabs when it happens, so I don't really know where to look.
I'm using KDE/Wayland if it bears any significance.
Some additional info:
I have tested Firefox forks recently, Zen and Libre and those browsers did not have this issue. I have copied my user profile to those browsers as is so same plugins were present. It might suggest this is caused by a setting of the browser but not sure. Since then I have seen it happening multiple times in front of my eyes, the video goes back to 00:00 without page refresh. I'm on version 136 now.
