Details
With the DHTML page loaded in Mozilla (build 1999111608), one can not access nested pull-down menus. For example, items under Debug -> Verification. Another problem that appears with the DHTML page loaded is that the back button functions incorrectly. The previous page will not actually render until the scrollbar is moved, or the window is dragged. The animated 'M' also appears as an unloaded gif icon until the window is dragged, or scrollbar is moved. This problem also occurs when one uses the Go -> Back menu item.

Let me clarify - the DHTML page I was referring to is the one accessed when one chooses Viewer Demos -> #13 DHTML from the Debug menu.
The issue is the compositor taking up all the available CPU cycles and locking out the UI

Works just fine on the Mac. Plenty of CPU left. Must be windows event handling problem.

Tried with 12/10/99 10:am build of mozilla on WINNT and it works fine for me. I can access under Debug->Verification. When I hit the back button it goes back to the correct page. The throbber looks fine. Other changes may have fixed the problems the reporter was seeing here. Marking as worksforme.

I still experience this problem, testing with Build ID 1999121308, fresh off the nightly build tree. The DHTML verification page works, but the Mozilla UI becomes unresponsive after hitting the back and forward buttons once or twice in an attempt to go between the Mozilla.org start page, and the DHTML verification test. WinNT 4.0, SP6. I'm hesitant to 'Reopen bug', as I don't know the protocol and don't want to step on any toes, but I can assure you this bug is still present on this NT system!

With the Feb 01 build under Windows 98, I load the DHTML sample and use the back/ forward buttons. The functionality of these button are working without the problems first described.
