Thunderbird not retrieving all mail from fastmail

Steps to reproduce:
Tried to get my email
Actual results:
I use fastmail. It has a web version. I'm running TB 115.11.0 on Debian 12.
Today, for example Fastmail on the web lists 12 messages for today.
The TB app shows only 3. I have quit and restarted. Same result, only 3.
I have noted this on numerous occasions over the past month.
At this point it's simply not reliable enough to use. There is too much risk of missing something important.
Expected results:

I tried getting my mail with Evolution. It gets all the messages with no problem

You have a prior history of reporting this - bug 1868919.
These tend to be support issues - have you asked in support https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/thunderbird ?

I'll try to explain it again.
I use fastmail. In it's web app the main pane shows all messages in the inbox (or other folder).
Thunderbird is configured to use fastmail.

I have TB istalled on 1 mac, 3 windows machines and 1 linux.
Up until about the time of my first report, the message lists in all TB matched those in fastmail's web app.
On windows and mac they still match.
On linux some of the messages are missing from the list.
Do I know why? No
Does anyone else?
I've worked the IT field since before it was called IT. I've punched cards, entered machine code using front-panel toggle switches, etc, etc...
It sure feels like a bug to me, but then, what do I know?

Then we are kindred spirits - I used punched cards for many years. All of us here is well acquainted with computers and everything associated with it. I'll add that I also use fastmail.
I understand it feels like a bug. I don't think anyone has said it is not, only that it could be a support issue.

If you right click on the Inbox, properties, does it show the same number of messages as fastmail web says it should?
How about after you do properties > repair?
I have noted this on numerous occasions over the past month.
Not that we have seen in bugzilla. Do you have a support or other link to which we can refer?
