Steps to reproduce:
- Install this extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/open-in-temp-container/
- Open this URL: https://www.google.co.jp/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=test&hl=en&gbv=2&udm=2
- Use the extension button to duplicate this URL in 20 or so temporary containers
- On the Google page, click on
Tools
- Try to use the menus that appear
Actual results:
Google is doing some A/B testing where different sets of Firefox users get different versions of the image results.
One of the versions is currently broken. The menus that appear when you click on Tools
don't work at all.
Expected results:
Please reach out to your Google contacts about this. Reddit users from different places have reported that they're facing the same issue.

We appreciate your report but I was not able to reproduce this issue. The buttons work regardless of the version. Have you reproduced this issue without the add-on or only when creating tabs with this add-on?
Tested on:
• Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 129.0a1 (2024-06-16) / Firefox Release 127
• Operating System: Windows 10
Suggestions:
• Clear cache/data/cookies, disable Ad-blocker (if available), or create a new profile (without syncing/importing data) and check again
• If there are any changes made to the default settings of the browser (e.g. in about:config), please revert to the default settings
How to create a new profile:
- Open a new tab
- Type in the address bar "about:profiles"
- Press "Enter"
- Click on "Create a New Profile"
- Click "Next"
- Name your profile
- Click "Finish"
- Head to your newly created profile
- Click "Launch profile in new browser"
Note: You can return to your old profile at any given time by accessing "about:profiles" in the address bar

We were able to reproduce it in Troubleshoot Mode and with clean profiles as recently as two days ago.
I've just tested it again and got 3 different working versions of Google Images. It seems that Google has fixed this bug.
