User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:126.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/126.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Install Thunderbird Flatpak
- Connect an account
- Open a message
Actual results:
The text within the message look pixelated and not antialiased.
It's worth noting that this seems to go away if one navigates to the font settings and disables messages using other fonts, which is interesting.
Expected results:
The fonts should look smooth with antialiasing, much like the rest of the Thunderbird UI

Is it flatpack specific? (Try the version raw tar.bz2 version from thunderbird.net)
Also, please attach a sample message as .eml
The bug is Flatpak specific. I've added two attachments: a sample .eml file, plus a screenshot comparing the raw tar.bz2 version of Thunderbird opening the message to the Flatpak version.
Note: My operating system is openSUSE Tumbleweed, running KDE Plasma 6.0.5 as the desktop environment.
As far as I can tell, not anymore.
