padulodeveloper, thanks for reporting this issue! Knowing that this problem is new starting in Firefox 126 is a big help.
QA, can you reproduce this issue? If so, can you bisect it using mozregression?

Thank you for the report!
I'm unable to reproduce this issue with the websites provided by you.
Tested with several devices on Firefox for Android 128.0, and Nightly 130.0a1:
- Samsung Galaxy S24 (Android 14),
- Oppo Find X3 Lite (Android 11), and
- Realme GT Master Edition (Android 13).
There is Bug 1863662 with a similar result, following these steps:
- Open a page with articles (like bbc.com, cnn.com) in normal browsing.
- Long tap on one of the articles, and select the "Open link in new tab" or the "Open link in private tab" options from the context menu.
- Tap on "Switch" to go to the opened new/private tab.
- When it's fully loaded, tap on the reader view icon from the toolbar.
Is this the case for your issue?
Also, on what device did you encounter this issue on?

I was not able to reproduce neither the issue reported here, nor the issue from Comment 3 with a LG G7 fit (Android 9) device on release 128.0.3 and latest 129.0 release version. Not reproducible on Beta 130.0b1 and Nightly 131.0a1 from 08/07 either. I'll close this for now, but if the issue will occur again, please feel free to re-open for further investigation.
