1904309 - Mute button in PiP doesn't work on ard.de

When clicking on the volume icon to mute, the player gets muted only for a fraction of a second and unmutes almost instantly. The volume icon doesn't change at all when clicking on it. Setting the volume to 0 in the pip player works and mutes the video/stream.

Tried with 129.0a1 (2024-06-23) (64-bit) and Fx127 stable.

Thanks for the bug report. I can confirm the issue with the steps you provided in Nightly 129. There seems to be some incompatibility between the video player and PiP, so we'll likely need a video wrapper to fix the issue.

Hi Mike, I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue mentioned in Comment 0 on either Nightly or Firefox. Based on the Phabricator patch (D217921), it looks like both Joseph and kpatenio also couldn’t reproduce the issue before the patch was applied. Additionally, I noticed there are no overrides or video wrappers for this site, and the PiP mute button appears to be working as expected.

Is there anything else that needs to be done for this bug?
