Open https://www.natesilver.net/p/what-democrats-should-do-next on Firefox for Android scroll down to the second footnote, it is just before the words "practical purposes". Try to tap on the superscript 2. It fails quite often for me. Chrome seems to work almost always. Event retargeting doesn't seem to be doing well here.

:botond, could you have a look please?

Seems to work relatively consistently for me (it succeeded maybe 8/10 tries). Marking as S3 for now.

A good next diagnostic step would be to get event.retarget:5 logs (ideally from a local build with either --enable-debug or --enable-dump-painting, so the logs will include a frame dump) in a non-working attempt.

When I tried it was lower than 8/10, but 8/10 seems like a pretty poor score given that this situation should be dead simple as there is seemingly nothing else nearby that could confuse things.

It often fails on my windows 11 touchscreen with/without setting ui.touch.radius.enabled to true when I tap the link pretty quickly. (Even if it's quick I can see the visual gray circle feedback there)
