When adding CalDAV while being in offline mode, the dialog says "Could not find calendars at this location. Please check your settings." without any info on what the problem is

Steps to reproduce:
The CalDAV appears to be intermittently broken, when I try to add the calendar it says "Could not find calendars at this location. Please check your settings." without even prompting for login. This is for a nextcloud calendar that I use elsewhere, including another thunderbird instance so this calendar definitely works. I pasted in the CalDAV url from nextcloud. This error seems incorrect if alone for the reason that I'm not even prompted for a login before it already gives that error, and that the same calendar works fine in another thunderbird install.
- I went into nextcloud
- I copied the "Internal link" described as "a private link that can be used with external clients" which is the CalDAV URL directly to that specific calendar. But even when trimming it to the generic CalDAV endpoint it doesn't work.
- I entered it into the "New calendar" dialog of thunderbird and pressed "Find Calendars"
Actual results:
"Could not find calendars at this location. Please check your settings."
Expected results:
A dialog prompts me for my login password, since I specified the username already via Thunderbird's form.
Okay, seems like I was accidentally in offline mode without being aware. I suggest the dialog should then ideally either give an error message that relates specifically to offline mode, and/or just try to connect to the URL anyway.
