Steps to reproduce
- Open the latest Nightly 130.0a1 from 07/11.
- Once the Navigation Bar CFR is displayed in the Portrait orientation, change the orientation to Landscape mode.
- Observe if the Navigation Bar CFR is displayed in the Landscape orientation.
Expected behavior
The Navigation Bar CFR is displayed in both Portrait and Landscape orientations.
Actual behavior
The Navigation Bar CFR is not displayed in the Landscape orientation.
If the phone device is in Landscape orientation when the Navigation bar is seen for the first time, the CFR will be displayed, but on the top side of the screen (even though the toolbar position is set to Bottom), and will soon disappear.
Device information
- Firefox version: Nightly 130.0a1 from 07/11
- Android device model: Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
- Android OS version: Android 14

Increasing priority to P1 now that we're fixing toolbar phase 1's beta blockers.
We don't have the navigation bar in landscape mode on home screen, that's why the CFR wasn't shown in landscape mode. Although it raises a question, if a user is always in landscape mode, we never show a CFR for them on the webpage to tell them about this new feature. I believe this task Bug 1908425 should extend for landscape modes as well. What do you think? :aarjav

Even though the designs for landscape and tablets are similar, we don't show the CFR for landscape mode, but we do show the other one linked for tablets - https://www.figma.com/design/8fsCvtnweBkWGZ9NfL907l/Toolbar-Redesign?node-id=17865-293500&t=AaT6pv4mKL7pdxcl-4
A user might use always use the app in landscape mode(a small minority) but it will also affect all the users who don't. Implementing the same navigation bar CFR for landscape might lead to us over-communicating changes, which we want to avoid.
Okay great. I agree. In that regards we can probably close this ticket as WONTFIX.
