Steps to reproduce:
Open a link to trk.klclick1.com with Firefox-128 on Android (freshly installed).
Tried this with Firefox on Android-13 and with the Desktop-Firefox on Debian-12.
(both Firefox version 128
Actual results:
Firefox on Android showed: Error: Connection failed
Firefox on Debian-12 opened the URL.
Expected results:
As first point the behavior should be consistent.
And if Firefox is blocking the domain intentionally, there should be an message saying something like "blocked intentionally" instead of a simple "Connection failed."
Chromium (on Debian-12 and on Android) does not block the domain. So I guess this might be unintended behavior!?
Sorry for the noise. The reason seems to be a setting in my Android ROMs system settings (e/OS/, a LineageOS fork).
There's an ad blocker feature which probably redirects domain names via the /etc/hosts list to 127.0.0.1.

When I disable the "App-Tracker" protection, then Firefox properly opens trk.klclick1.com
