Request new mail (^T) produced nothing. Off to another machine and started up mozilla mail/news; new mail listed. Back to the linux box, shutdown and restart mozilla; now there is new mail listed. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Wait for mail to arrive 2. Notice that mail/news shows nothing new 3. restart mozilla, now it works the IMAP daemon is running on RedHat Linux 8.0 on the same box as I am running Mozilla. The daemon is: imap-2001a-15.
Judd, we have had times when adding an IMAP account the mail doesn't show up in the Inbox after giving the password, but if you change to a different folder then back to the Inbox the messages display. So far the reports were only for the initial download of the Inbox. When you see the problem again can you try changing folders then going back to the Inbox to see if the messages display then comment in this bug. This may be related to that bug and we would have a new scenario to test. I'll look for that bug and post the number here when I find it.
I'll watch for the failure. I would be quite surprised if I did not try changing folders as you suggest so I hold little hope this is a work a round.
