Following the investigation from bug 1869770 we saw that there are cases in which we really can't share to other apps.
Currently in these scenarios we'd prevent the app from going in an invalid state but from the user's point of view nothing happens when they tap on the share image/link buttons.

I propose to consider showing a message to users letting them know that we tried sharing but this functionality was not available.
