wfm using build 2003012508 on Win2k.
Are you using a special font for title bars ?

Comment 3

I can confirm the Problem with
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; de-AT; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030127

WFM 2003012508 on Win2k.

See bug 136877 (it also mentions the window title) and various other bugs about
vietnamese characters.

Is this a bug in Mozilla, Phoenix or both? The screenshot shows that you are
using Phoenix.

start>settings>control panel>display>appearance>Item:Active Title Bar
What font is listed?

wfm, 2003011508 w2k (for some reason i don't have a font listed, which probably
means that windows will composite fonts).
WFM Moz 20030125 Win2k

WFM in Phoenix 20030128 on W2K, so it isn't a Phoenix-specific bug.

Comment 9

see same error with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030128
corrected (working) link: http://www.isoc-vn.org/www/standard/browsertest52.html

BTW: read the text, resized it and noticed some fonts getting dim:

The Vietnamese Alphabet consists of the following characters:
    a A, ă Ă, â Â, ....

the 2 chars in the middle (ă Ă)look dim resized to 120 %
I don´t know if this is a bug, and to which category.

WFM while using Mozilla 1.3beta 2003012804, Phoenix 0.5 02030128 with XP Pro
SP1. I can clearly see the ệ (letter "e" with circumflex and dot below) in the
titlebar.
FYI, bug 9449 covers issues related to unicode characters in titlebar.

Re: comment #6: When I go Start/Settings/Control Panel/Display/Appearance
tab/Advanced button/Item:Active Title Bar/Font: I have Tahoma.
In Windows/Fonts, right-click on Tahoma.TTF, then choose Properties, the MS True
Type Font extensions utility shows up and in the CharSet/Unicode tab, the
Unicode Supported Ranges list has Latin Extended-A and the Supported Code Pages
includes Vietnamese 1258. And the letter ệ (latin small letter e with circumflex
and dot below) is in Latin Extended-A.

ệ <==> ệ is in Latin Extended Additional range.

WORKSFORME

The title is displayed fine with me on WinXP-SC/01-29 trunk build, but I can see
it on WinME-JA; I think it's a dup of bug 9449.

We have fixed it but that's for Win2k and above, for Win9x, if you are not
running a native language system, you will see the problem.

Mgz: It should work under XP.
Can you :
1) attach the html file for us?
2) make sure the char coding is correct for the page
by going to View/Char Encoding menu. Vietnamese?
