can you paste a link to the installer you used? which process does task manager show taking 100% cpu?

confirmed works like that: 1. start mozilla 2. start flash installer (latest flashplayer6installer.exe) 3. cpu reaches 100% (is about 60-40 between mozilla and installer) 4. mozilla restarts 5. cpu still 100% (one on mozilla processes), macromedia's page opens 6. close all windows keeps the naughty process working (have to kill manually)

w.r.t this bug, I see the same problem on 1.2.1, when Mozilla pops-up after the flash install is completed. But after killing the process using the task manager (Windows 2000 Pro), the same problem does not occur when I try to open Mozilla. When trying with 1.3b, Gecko/20030210, the Flash installer downloaded and I ran it. But after the install, the browser did not pop-up. And even when I tried opening Mozilla, there were no problems.

Flash may be switching to an XPI installer.

i've tried this install on two machines running win98, mozilla 1.5, athlon750 and 850, ATI vivo in both, 512megs ram, multiple HD larger than 40Gig, CDRW X2 and scsi in one only. mozilla works fine until run flash player installer, installer tries to open macromedia web page but locked up, need reboot by reset to get system usable.
