User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.0.2) Gecko/20021120 Netscape/7.01 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.0.2) Gecko/20021120 Netscape/7.01 File downloads (anything involving the download manager) become very slow after saving many files. Also, launching download manager from tools menu takes a long time. Duirng these delays CPU use is 100%. Problem seems to be caused by large downloads.rdf file in user profile. Deleting this file removes problem and restores mozilla to fast saves. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.download a few 1000 files, each one will be slower than one before 2. 3. Actual Results: 30 second delay (during which cpu is 100% busy) after file save box appears but before explore box appears. Another 30 second delay (again with 100% cpu) after file is actually saved. Expected Results: Maybe moxailla should some facility for cleaning up the downloads.rdf file such as deleting on exit or removing entries older than xx days on exit.
