I have included a strace... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.start mozilla, either from gnome panel launcher, terminal `mozilla`, or terminal `mozilla-bin` 2. 3. Actual Results: mozilla window briefly displays, and then quits. Expected Results: mozilla should have started. unique qualities of this case: 1. User's home directory on nfs share, mounted rw 2. User undertook 'extensive' customization of gnome environment 3. Other users on same machines, with similarly extensive customizations, do not report this problem 4. In order to reproduce problem, blew away user's initial account on our system, and then re-created user account. From "fresh" gnome configuration, with default desktop, mozilla worked as expected. After customizations, well, not so good.
please report problems with Red Hat's package to Red Hat. The Mozilla you're running (1.0.1) is based on code that is quite old. marking INVALID -- this is not a Mozilla bug. please reopen this only if you can reproduce with a current build: http://download.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest-trunk/ http://download.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.3a/ FWIW: you are probably seeing an incompatibility between Mozilla and the gtk theme. Try a different one.
