This would be true of crossword sites where you can play the puzzle online, but it requires a java script enabled browser. They all work perfectly well with IE 5.5. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Paste the link in the command bar. 2. Press ENTER. 3. The java script portion of the page, which is at the top left-hand corner of the page, will not load.
There is Java there, not JavaScript (the two have nothing to do with each other, name similarity notwithstanding). Do you have a Java plugin? (Look in Help > About Plugins).
Summary: the java script on the page doesn't load → the java on the page doesn't load
The applet loads and works without a problem. Build 2003012804, XP Pro SP1. WORKSFORME
WFM with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; de-AT; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030127 and Java(TM) Plug-in: Version 1.4.0
I have now installed Java Plug-in 1.4.1_01 but it stil doesn't work. I believe this has to do with the fact that I am behind a proxy server. So is there any work-around for this ??
Changing component to Java: OJI. I don't have Java installed, so I can't confirm. This might be related to Bug #92782
Component: Browser-General → Java: OJI

The page was changed. I can't see any java applet in that page. Reporter, could you find a new test case? or I would rather to mark this WFM per comment 2 & 3.
Multiple WFM comments. Testcase is gone. No response from reporter in eight weeks. Marking WFM. Reporter, please reopen this bug if you can provide a working testcase and still see this issue in a current build.
