With this pdf:
https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/raw-file/tip/toolkit/components/pdfjs/test/file_pdfjs_test.pdf
enabling/disabling direct2d doesn't change anything, it's only a matter of gfx.canvas.accelerated.
The way it's rendered is annoying/uncomfortable for my eyes, I've the feeling that there's too much light.
