Steps to reproduce:

Tap on the 'three vertical dots'
From the dropdown menu, select 'Settings'
Click the 'Passwords' button
Click the 'Saved passwords' button
Click the 'Add password' button
Enter an invalid website in the 'Site' field

Actual results:
In the 'Site' field, a 'Warning' symbol appears indicating the invalid entry, but the 'Clear' button is missing. Users are unable to quickly clear the invalid input using the 'Clear' button.

Expected results:
The 'Clear' button should be present in the 'Site' field alongside the 'Warning' symbol, allowing users to easily clear the invalid website entry.

Severity: -- → N/A
Priority: -- → P3

I was able to reproduce the issue described here with the latest builds. The clear button is only displayed once a correct full website is entered.

Tested builds:

  • Nightly 134.0a1;
  • RC 133.0;
  • RC 125.0.

Tested devices:

  • Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (Android 14);
  • Google Pixel 9 Pro XXL (Android 15).
