UI fonts in 1.0 to 1.3a are too small and unchangeable

in 1600x1200, any distro - the fonts in the Linux UI (not the browser/gecko
that can be changed) are too small. It is an eyetest to see them.

On a 17" monitor at 1280x1024, the sizes are just fine.
They can be modified however, in for instance userChrome.css.
