1912888 - Tab context menus broken in Linux

It looks like Bug 1899299 broke the tab context menus. I can reproduce on today's nightly in Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS, using X11
STR:

• Right click or context click on any tab in the tab strip
  ER:
• The context menu should appear with options to close tab etc.
  AR:
• No context menu, I sometimes see the tab preview hover tooltip

I think I have this issue. When searching for regression window for bug 1912922 I had URL in clipboard to paste-and-go in new windows. In affected builds address bar context menu does not appear. It does appear after opening a new tab.

These menus appear on right mouse button double-click!

Also seems related - the puzzle piece add-ons button menu (add-ons list) does not appear on click, but works on (left) double-click.

I can't make a screencast right now, but I can say I reproduced this in mozregression with a clean profile - i.e. no extensions, no non-default preferences.

Reproduced the initial issue using (context menu will not appear in the URL bar only after multiple attempts) an old Nightly from 2024-08-13 on Ubuntu 22.04 x11, verified that using Firefox 131.0b8 on the same OS the context menu is not working correctly in the URL bar or in the rest of the page.
