Steps to reproduce
- Open multiple tabs
- Access the tabs tray to view all tabs
- Click the 'three dots' icon
- Tap the 'Recently closed tabs' button
- Click to open a website
- Click the 'Tabs tray' icon
- Click the 'three dots' icon
- Tap the 'Recently closed tabs' button
- Click the 'Show full history' button
- Click to open a website
- Click the 'Tabs tray' icon
Expected behavior
The opened tab should consistently appear in the same position within the tabs tray, regardless of whether it was opened from the 'Recently closed tabs' section or the 'History' section.
Actual behavior
In step 6, the opened tab shows in the first position, but in step 11 the opened tab shows in the last position

hey, thanks for filing this issue! What version of Firefox are you using?
We may have fixed this issue as a part of Bug 1906528 which landed in 131.

Hi,
I can confirm that this is reproducible as described on version 125, the one this was originally reported on.
However as mentioned above, this seems to be fixed by now.
The opened tab does consistently appear in the same position within the tabs tray, regardless of whether it was opened from the 'Recently closed tabs' section or the 'History' section.
Device used for testing: Google Pixel 9 Pro XL (Android 14).
Firefox version: Nightly 134.0a1 from 2024-11-11.
I will close the ticket as verified.
