Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Firefox for Android.
2. Tap on the menu button (three vertical dots) in the top right corner.
3. Tap on 'Settings
4. Tap on 'Manage alternative search engines'
5. Tap on 'Add search engine'.
6. Enter the details in English for the new search engine.

Actual Results:

When typing, a line appears below the characters, causing confusion, as this behavior typically indicates the use of a non-English keyboard.

Expected Results:

When typing in English, no line should appear below the characters.

Notes:

The confusion arises because, in other browsers like Chrome, a line under the characters typically signals non-English input.
In Firefox, this line could mislead users into thinking they are typing in a different language when they are not.

Additionally:

This issue also occurs in other areas, such as the 'Address bar' on the 'Homepage'.
However, in the 'Add password' page under the 'Saved passwords' section, no lines appear under the characters.

Hey OpenContributor, this is an OS level feature and while we are able to reproduce it, for us the behavior exists in every application (including Chrome). What device and operating system are you currently running?
