there is no "spell" button in Mozilla. I assume you have installed an external spellchecker. Make sure the version is compatible with the version of Mozilla. Dup of invalid bug 185251 and others. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 185251 ***

Reading what the bug this was duped against indicates that crash was caused by a change introduced in mozilla prior to 9th January. Seeing I don't get a crash using the same spellchecker xpi with build 2003011508, which is after the textservices api was changed, then I'm reopening this bug until sometime can compare the talkback with the ones from the crashes in bug 185251. Checked against BuildID 2003012908 and that crashes too, talkback ID TB16770524K

Also crashes in BuildID 2003012508 with talkback ID TB16771239X
There is no spellcheck in mozilla. If something you add to mozilla makes mozilla crash, file the bug with them. You should upgrade the spellchecker if you wish to continue to use it. The Windows spellchecker was upgrader on January 27th, while the one you use is from 15th December 2002. It is outdated and does not work with Mozilla nightlies after Jan 16th: http://spellchecker.mozdev.org/installation.html#mozillanightly says: "Starting with about 20030116, the 1.3a binaries no longer works with nightlies." Resolving as invalid.
