STRs
- Activate the Chatbot Integration in the Firefox Labs Nightly and select ChatGPT as a provider.
- Select text on a page and choose any prompt.
Expected behavior
- Once the prompt is sent to ChatGPT, ChatGPT in the sidebar responds to the prompt and stops once the answer is fully rendered.
Actual behavior
- For logged-in users: The ChatGPT page in the sidebar "blinks" before it starts responding to a prompt, as if a redirect is happening. Video.
- For logged-out users: ChatGPT page in the sidebar "blinks", starts responding to a prompt, then aborts the process entirely and loads ChatGPT start page. Video.

Got this to happen once in each browser after ~40 chrome tabs and ~30 firefox tabs starting with https://chatgpt.com?q=why+do+birds+fly
Looks like the model dropdown always starts with "ChatGPT 4o" then sometimes switches to "ChatGPT 4o mini" (which results in tab title updating and removal of attachment icon for input box at the bottom). And even rarer case when switching to "4o mini", it seems to result in this bug clearing out the response followed by another change back to "ChatGPT 4o" still without response.

i believe this was fixed on chatgpt's side? there are now more models like various o1 that switching to dynamically picked model could be more frequent

Since the bug is closed, the stalled keyword is now meaningless.
